Each candle is carefully prepared, poured and finished by hand, then cured for 14 days to allow the wax and fragrance to settle properly.

Before leaving the workshop, every candle is checked for appearance, finish, and scent throw.

Only candles that meet our standards are sealed, labelled and prepared for their journey into the Realm.

We believe you should know what goes into the products you bring into your home. Our materials are selected with the same care we apply to every stage of our craft.

Our candles use a blend of hydrogenated soybean and vegetable oils. We do not use beeswax; every Viridian product is fully vegan.

We use high-quality, phthalate-free fragrance oils and lead-free cotton wicks. Fragrance materials are screened against their available safety documentation before use, and ingredients classified as known carcinogens, mutagens or reproductive toxins are excluded from our formulations.

Our Wax Truffles and Dragon Eggs are made from soy wax. We do not use dyes or decorate our candles with additional materials, allowing the fragrance and wax to remain the focus while maintaining consistent burn performance.

No. We use professionally developed fragrance materials selected for their quality, complexity and performance.

Essential oils have their place, but they are not automatically safer or more sustainable, and some can cause sensitivities or have usage restrictions of their own. Professionally developed fragrance materials allow us to build complex, atmospheric scents while working within established safety standards.

We craft fantasy candles, not aromatherapy products.

We formulate with companion animals in mind, and exclude ingredients that do not meet our strict formulation standards. However, no fragranced candle can be guaranteed safe for every species or individual animal.

Birds, exotic animals and aquatic species can be particularly sensitive to airborne fragrances. If you share your home with one of these animals, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before burning fragranced candles.

For all pets, keep candles out of reach, provide appropriate ventilation and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Stop burning when approximately 1cm of wax remains. Allow the wax to cool, remove it from the jar, then remove the wick holder and wash the jar with soap and water.

Never heat an empty candle jar directly to remove wax.

Once clean, your jar can find a second life as storage, a planter, stationery holder or refill vessel.

Our 215g candles are designed for spaces of approximately 24m² when burned correctly. Good airflow helps fragrance disperse evenly throughout the room.

Scent strength varies between fragrances, so check each candle's strength rating when choosing a scent to suit your space and preference.

Our 215g candles provide approximately 40–50 hours of burn time.
