Lost Familiars and Sabotage

Day 57 of the 4th Age

I write these words with a heavy heart. In the span of but eighty-five days, both our Viridian Beasts crossed the Rainbow Bridge, leaving behind the quiet echoes of their pawsteps.

Their memory is woven into the very fabric of my wick-crafting... a constant reminder of my vow: that no creation of mine shall ever bring harm to the beasts that share our hearths.

May you journey safely, my brave familiars.  May you find the eternal Silver Flame, where all is warm and all is light.

Day 87 of the 4th Age

A troubling discovery in the alchemy chamber today - fractures spidering through the glass of our usually flawless vessels.

A patron has reported this twice now, across separate shipments, but same kind of breakage, same eerie precision.  No other candles in the Realm bear such a curse.

Talk among the Guild is that the Black Vial Tavern is behind this.  There’s a dark alchemy there… goblets spiked with veritas serum and Viridian secrets carelessly spilled.

Has someone intercepted our protection spells?
Or has our patron been marked by an unseen sigil?

I cannot yet say.

But I fear the hand of something stirring within the Realm...
