CAUTIONARY TALE FROM THE CAULDRON

Local Man Ignores Warnings and Drinks Sanguis Potion

Day 261 of the 4th Age

Local troublemaker Derrin of Eastgate reportedly ignored every Guild warning and drank a full vial of Sanguis Sanctificatus - the potion crafted from pure-blood vampire essence.

Witnesses confirm that Derrin did not, in fact, gain “unholy power” or “eternal allure.” He instead transformed into a glitter-dusted imitation vampire, sparkling aggressively in daylight and shedding shimmer on every surface he touched.

Mortified, Derrin fled to the Velvet Order, begging Lady Isadora for sanctuary. She declined with a single icy remark:

“We admit only true vampires, not… decorative interpretations.”

Derrin was last seen skulking toward the forests, leaving a shimmering trail behind him.

Local bards have already begun composing songs about it: much to his horror.
